Privacy notice

1. The short version

This website has no accounts, no sign-up, no contact form, no newsletter, no shopping basket and no payment of any kind. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. There is nothing here for you to fill in, and nothing that follows you to another website.

Two things still happen automatically, because they happen to every website: the network that serves this page sees the request, and your browser fetches two typefaces from Google. Both are described below.

2. What this website collects about you

Nothing that you provide, because there is nowhere to provide it. Specifically, BBA Trading does not operate any of the following on this website:

• Accounts, registration or sign-in
• Contact forms, enquiry forms or a newsletter
• Payments, checkout or subscriptions — no payment processor is connected
• Cookies, local storage or any other storage on your device
• Analytics of any kind
• Advertising, remarketing, tracking pixels or conversion measurement
• Social media widgets, embedded video or chat tools

The page you are reading is static. The only script it loads is roughly forty lines that switch a pricing view and animate a logo; it sends nothing anywhere. The site’s content security policy forbids the page from making network requests or submitting a form at all, which is enforced by your browser rather than promised here.

3. Server logs

This website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives and may log the ordinary details of each request: the IP address it came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser’s user-agent string. This is how a request reaches a page at all, and it is used to serve the site, to keep it available and to protect it from abuse.

BBA Trading does not build profiles from these logs, does not link them to a person, and does not use them for advertising. Cloudflare processes them under its own terms as our hosting provider.

4. Typefaces loaded from Google

The two typefaces used on this site are fetched from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google when you open this page, and Google receives your IP address and the usual request details as a result. This is the only third-party request this website makes.

It is disclosed here rather than buried because it is the one thing on an otherwise entirely self-contained page that involves another company. Google’s handling of that request is governed by Google’s own privacy policy, not this notice. Hosting the two font files ourselves would remove the request entirely, and is something we intend to do.

5. The private environment

Separately from this website, BBA Trading operates a private, simulated evaluation environment reachable only by approved accounts. It is not open to the public and is not reachable from this website.

Sign-in to that environment is handled by Cloudflare Access. The application identifies a person by the opaque subject identifier Access issues, not by their email address — a deliberate choice, so that a contact detail is not used as a database key.

The data in that environment is invented. The accounts, the balances, the trades and the results are all simulated, and no real money exists anywhere in the system. Decisions taken in it are recorded in an append-only log so that a past decision remains explainable.

6. What we never collect

For the avoidance of doubt, and because the reference documents in this industry commonly disclose these, BBA Trading collects none of the following anywhere in its systems:

• Biometric identifiers, facial geometry or face scans
• Government identification documents or numbers, passports, or social security numbers
• Bank account details, card numbers or any financial account information
• Real trading positions, brokerage account data or market data tied to a person
• Location beyond what an IP address implies to the server
• Anything about children — this site is not directed at anyone under 18

None of these are collected because none of them has a mechanism to be collected. There is no identity-verification provider, no payment processor and no brokerage connection attached to any part of this system.

7. Sharing

BBA Trading does not sell personal information, does not share it for advertising, and does not disclose it to data brokers, advertising networks or analytics companies. There is nothing collected here to sell.

The only companies involved in serving this website are Cloudflare, which hosts it, and Google, which serves the two typefaces described above.

Information may be disclosed where the law requires it — for example in response to a valid legal process.

8. How long anything is kept

Server logs are retained by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule and are not archived by us.

Records inside the private environment are retained while that environment is in use, because an evaluation has to remain explainable after it has ended. They contain simulated activity rather than personal information.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal information held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Some US states also provide a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.

We do not sell or share personal information and we do not run targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. For the other rights: because this website collects nothing that identifies you, we will usually hold nothing to give you. If you believe we hold something about you, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This website sets no cookies and does no tracking, so a Do Not Track header or a Global Privacy Control signal has nothing here to act on. Sending one changes nothing about what this site does, because it already does none of it.

11. Children

This website is not directed at anyone under 18 and BBA Trading does not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Because the site is currently in private development, the most likely change is that it grows: if a sign-up, a payment or an analytics tool is ever added, this notice will say so before it is switched on.
